Bill Irvine

Bill has been involved with Caridon for over 16 years, bringing extensive expertise in housing policy, social security, and advocacy. Previously, he served as Head of Housing at one of the UK’s largest councils and was a Government Advisor to the Housing Benefit Standing Committee in Westminster. He has also been a tutor for the Chartered Institute of Housing and a consultant for the NRLA on Housing Benefit and Universal Credit.

Currently, Bill runs his own consultancy, providing expert advice, training, and representation at First and Upper-tier tribunals, where some of his cases have influenced case law. With a deep understanding of social security changes, universal credit, and Housing Benefit disputes, he is a dedicated advocate for disadvantaged groups, ensuring fair access to housing support and benefits.
